On the evening of 1st December 1955, Rosa Park caught in Montogomery, Albama. The sgregation laws were harsh in Alabama. She refused to give up her seat to a white man.So, she was arrested and jailed.
The next morning at a church meeting led by Martin Luther King, a citywide boycott of public transit was proposed to demand a fixed dividing line for the segregated sections of the buses. Such a line would have meant that if the white section of the bus was oversubscribed, whites would have to stand; blacks would not be forced to remit their seats to whites.

In September 1957 the town of Little Rock, Arkansas, decided to admit nine talented black students to the all-white Central High School. This was its first step towards the integration of black and white students. However, white people protested and the Govenor of Arkansas sent the Arkansas National Guard to prevent the black students from entering the school.
Insults were hurled at the black students, their lockers were destroyed and one student enen had acid sprayed in her face. Also whites demonstrated and at least 7 were arrested.
It had a little succes. Despite abuse, insults & attacks the black students graduated in 1958.

the segergation in public places was banned. in 1965 the votin rights acts
was passed. this ended racial discrimination over the rights to vote. riacil discrimination was banned in employment john f kennedy was kiiled by one of the people because of the civil rights. the person could be a white man because he didn't like the way. mather luther king gave one of the best speeches in his life
he was fighting for more freedom in the speech and to get more rights. soon after the
speech he was killed by one of the people. one of the rights was the black americans
